Some photos of the garden and it's visitors
When we first moved here in 2008, we kept ponies on this land. It was initially sown with a cut and graze mix of seed. In 2017 when the horses left in the BFG we wanted to kick start the biodiversity so we sowed a mix of soil improver and bee friendly seeds. This gallery is a record of the plants that have shown up since the horses have gone and may have either been in the seed bank for years beforehand, children of the seeds that we threw down 4 years ago or were blown in by the wind. When we dug the marl hole in late 2019 we seeded the surrounding bare soil that came out of it with a native wild flower mix with speicies common to our area in Wexford.
